Good Vibes #5, acoustic songs to help you get those good vibes!
---It's music.---
First up for week #5 is Burn by The Pretty Reckless!
I fell in love with this band the moment my husband introduced me to them. I'm big on female fronted bands, and just female bands for that matter... Anyway, my husband got me this album, "Going to Hell" a while back and I listened to it on repeat for days, maybe even weeks. Taylor Momsen's voice is so on point and beautiful. And I love the haunting tone she has when doing acoustic. Now I love the electric songs as well, in fact we even cover one of their songs called "My Medicine", but there's just something raw about her when she is doing acoustic. Plus her lyrics seem to open a window into her soul, and I love to see that in music. This song helps to lift me up considering it's talking about being sentenced to burn in hell for the sins that have been committed, and I think it has everything to do with her voice. She is powerful and confident in the face of what is trying to bring her down. Although not giving in to what the world thinks she should do. The guitar is beautiful and compliments the emotion of the song. And even though it's a very short song, it is very powerful and brings a great message with amazing vocals.
Alice in Chains is my favorite grunge band. One of the first bands I fell in love with as a young teen. And when the MTV Unplugged came out, I was ecstatic because I also love acoustic! I have gotten 90% of my music influence from this band, and they continue to inspire me to this day. I have loved every album that they ever came out with, including the newer ones without deceased lead singer Layne Staley. The heart of the band was always Jerry Cantrell and he is my musical hero. This particular song is a fuck around song that they actually performed on the Unplugged show, and one that I had never heard until I watched it. The bass part is an amazingly beautiful part to go with the rhythmic guitar chords that seem to sound a little off, yet just perfect. They had the confidence to play a song that wasn't even on the list, and one that they probably hadn't practiced as much as the others, and I love the raw sound to this song. Count in the lyrics for a masochist like me... boom, new favorite! I stayed up all night on Saturday just watching the whole Alice In Chains Unplugged, since it had been a while. And it felt like a childhood love and emotional state was rekindled, like I had journeyed back in time to my former self and found something that I had forgotten about while I focused on growing up and being an adult. I just love that I can listen to this band and get the same emotions from it that I did way back then.
So there you have my Good Vibes #5. Sorry it was a day late, I have been under the weather so to say... I hope you've enjoyed the songs and maybe got a better outlook on your day from them as I have! I'm going to try and make a post every week of a few songs that give me good vibes and positive thoughts, and tag it with #goodvibesmusic! I would love to hear your thoughts and also your good vibe songs! Either post them below or make your own post and tag it! Let's spread some positive music and vibes all over Steemit! Peace!

Alice is great! , First I heard Nirvana and then Alice, and pearljam and soundgarden.
I loved most of Alice in Chains unplugged and also music videos like, but the one which made me feel free from everything on earth was Nutshell
The Pretty Reckless, I listened to that album so many times in my University time. there was many great tracks and Burn was one of them.
Nutshell is my all time favorite of theirs as well, and that's the reason why it was one of the first covers I learned. My husband has always asked which one the band should cover and I just can't make up my mind... Haha!
Nice! Music definitely provides some good vibes when you need ‘em the most! I cleaned house today and spent the whole time jamming out and I feel so calm and relaxed :)
Also, kayla has shown me the Pretty Reckless a few times on dirt road trips and I keep meaning to check them out more. Love you guys’ cover and I think I’ve only heard the original once or twice.
That's the only way I clean house... HAHA! Gotta have those jams up! And I love The Pretty Reckless! Her voice is amazing. And they kinda remind me of like a modern Soundgarden kinda... Just awesome rock but with some pretty acoustic mixed in, and that weird edge as well. The singer also plays guitar though I have yet to see it on a live video. One of my favorite songs that I learned a bit back (and need to practice) is called "You" and she's playing in the video, but that song was a close contender for this post but I'm saving it for another. ;)
