Good Vibes #8, great songs to help find some good vibes!

I'll start off by saying I'm a 90's girl... I love grunge and punk and most types of music that came out in the 90's. It was my time of growing into myself and the music was a huge part of that essential growth for me. I was always watching MTV2 (back when they actually played videos...) and finding new music to fall in love with. And of course I've always loved chick singers, so this one is a double whammy of music love for me. I hadn't heard it or even thought of it for years until, when a few months ago, a friend had mentioned it to me. It was one she had wanted me to cover, and it became a favorite on my cover list. I love the lyrics and beautiful guitar, and her voice is just so damn sexy. I didn't pick the live version because in that one, they didn't play the slide part and I think that although it was still beautiful, part of the emotion was gone without it there. It has the 90's written all over it and it just reminds me of those teen days at home listening to music!

I was at a very hard time in my life when I heard and ultimately feel in love with this song. My uncle (whom I was very close to as a child) had just committed suicide and I just felt like this song was there to support me and help me through that time. It was also another song that I learned and even recorded with my husband @hangrydwarf. Even though this song is very simple to play and has no more than two chords, there is an emotional complexity to it in the words and vocals. I've always been a fan of Seether and that is one of the main reasons why I love their music so much. Easy and pure with emotion and deep feelings mixed all together. So beautiful. For this one I chose the live version so that you can see the emotion while they play, and also because acoustic is just amazing! ;)
