At Christmas We Spend Time with Loved Ones
In a disused building..
.. in a long forgotten building in the corner of a market, behind a cafe in East London, I found a pair of star crossed lovers sitting close, but not enough for them to be truly together. He longs to be turned on and she waits in vain for the right connection to be plugged in.
They reminded me of theThe Rime of the Ancient Mariner - "Water, water everywhere, Nor any drop to drink" by Samuel Taylor Coleridge.
At Christmas, we often think of and spend time with loved ones; friends & family. This year, spare a thought for those who can't be with their loved ones for whatever reasons are kept apart. I hope you all have a well earned festive break and a peaceful 2018.

I love the photograph and your interpretation of it. Truly inspired. I also love the message of the post overall. Everybody is missing or is missed by somebody during the holidays. We should all be sharing good cheer in this season of kinship so that those who are away from loved ones might hav their spirits lifted for a moment. Great post.

Such a cool shot and very true words having worked overseas in various Missions over the years, I do think of all those who have to work overseas whether Military, Medical, NGOS or any other company my thoughts always go to them at Christmas
