i wonder if their decision to kill another dragon and eliminate the direwolves was a CGI budget decision. I'm sure it was at least a factor.
Would not be surprised if it was, I read somewhere the reason Jon Snow did not pet his dire wolf Ghost when they said goodbye is because it was a CGI issue, which basically means we did not want to spend the money to create a CGI scene of him petting Ghost.
