Dear Diary: A Few Things That Came About From My Doctor's Consultation Today, The Good And The Bad News
Today my mother had brought to my doctor the result of my IPTH to let her see how my Parathyroid is currently doing which is really not so good as it just mellowed a bit from it overly hyperactive state. The good news is that she will not adjust the dose of my medication (and that is a relief to learn about) and that I will just have to continue taking my cinacalcet with my current dosage.
Probably I will have to wait until my parathyroid will have to be controlled completely in due time within the course of my therapy which I think is lifetime so I will just have to wait and hope that it will secrete much less hormone in the future. I guess that it was what my doctor is thinking that is why she didn't adjust the dosage otherwise she will make me take a more nauseating additional tablets which I will surely lament about.
I don't know if that news wa good or bad but since I won't be subjected to a much misery and financial burden I will just see it as some good news today that I could rejoice from for a change.
Now the bad news is that she said that I cannot go into surgery because she is stating that I cannot go lay flat on my back on the operating table because of my back condition. The surgery team also has to bend my neck so far back plus the condition of the inside my mouth will also make them get a hard time putting instruments down my throat.
That is her opinion but we really do not know about that for sure and the surgeons will definitely have a different perspective about the matter at hand. Doctors are just as good as us beyond their expertise but I will just let my medicine do its function for thee moment and wait if things will change about the function of my parathyroid.
If my parathyroid won't get controlled I will begin to look for a parathyroid surgeon so I am not sure as welll if that is a bad news entirely as I may get an entirely new and different opinion from a surgeon but right now I just needed more prayers as it just works as good as my medicine. Hi dear, about the surgery I guess there is should be a wayout. The surgeons should really find a way to make u comfortable and not cause more harm to you during the surgery. But do you know that the best surgeon is already at work, God is already turning things around for you. Just be strong, and He will do it. He made the blind see, He made the lame walk, He fed 5000people, He turned water to wine, He is all in all. We are praying for u also, we love you
Do you prefer using your medicine to under going surgrery?
Surgery will make me get free from using medicines if not taking it out completely. My medicines gives me nasty side-effects.

Hopefully the meds will continue to work towards reducing the hyperactive state of your parathyroid. I'm also hoping that your medical team can figure out away to go forward with the surgery that you need.
