Planned Perforations or Designed Holes?

Maybe this plant is trying to make other bugs think that it has been eaten.

Or maybe it was designed so as not to be blown so much by wind as a defensive measure.

Zoom out and see that the leaves are much larger than a toilet seat. If they were edible, on leaf could feed a family.

My thoughts for this one...
