My Growth-Ideas That I Really Think Can Help This Site
I have written a few posts for the growth-ideas and through-out them, there are some that stood as solid ideas that could either help the site grow, help to make this site a lot more personal, make teamwork easier and/or give the site a fun element that would be distinct to steemit and help to give the site more identity in a competitive market. Since I have to burn 20 steem (if you don't know why, don't ask :p) I figure this is a good post for it. If you like any other these please upvote and resteem them and/or this post.
1.) Choose Your Own Adventure Steemit Edition
If any of you played @papa-pepper survival game you know how fun it is to play a choose your own adventure game and how well it works on steemit. This is what I'm thinking, we can make an app that is both a tool for anyone to make their own story for people to play and an easy way for users to play the games. The style of the interface can be three or four circles and you click the one that corresponds to the choice you want to make. The games can run live in seasons where people need to come back to make decisions. There can be stats to show how many times you died and the times you made it through. There would be steem rewards for the winners of each game. Choose your own adventure books are both fun and have a feeling of nostalgia, and it could be a great feature that helps bring attention to the site. Hey, you remember those choose your own adventure books, they are back and now you can get money for playing them.
2.) A Personal Calendar For Each User And A Calendar Tab With A Feed For Each Day
A calendar can really help connect the community on this site. Everyone would have their own on their page. When you make a post, there would be the option to add a date to the post on the submit a story page. Then when you go to your calendar, you will see the date is a different colour and you can click on it to see the post. There can also be a tab for a main calendar where all events gets posted in a feed. You click on a day and you can scroll through the feed of what is happening that day. As someone mentioned in the comments, think of how efficient that poll for the china exchange would have been if we could have marked it on the calendar. Think of that for any community project or event for steemt.

3.) Buttons Or Stamps For Steemit
On your profile page you can have a tab that opens your collection of stamps or buttons. They can be fun circular designs, or animations, or stamps that look like stamps or the kind you stamp on a page. These stamps could be placed on your posts and could show up on your post when it is on the feed to make it stand out more. There can be only so many, with more added weekly, and people can collect them. We can have a market where people buy them for steem that gets burned. And people can make their own and sell them on the market if they get approved.
I also think the tool of a universal rating system that any one can use and added to their posts would help users make reviews for restaurants, movies and such easier:
And a scholarship fund:
Please spread the word if you want to get any of these off the ground.

Steemit is a way of life.
Very nice ideas
My game is kinda choose your own adventure.
Oh yeah, wouldn't you like a dedicated app/site for it?
I woukd kill for it to be a game. With visual elements.
The scholarship fund is an ingenius idea! Maybe even partner up externally with affiliates (Khan Academy?)to promote cohesion and get good PR. Maybe technology based or mentoring based?
Also what about chartiable work or donations or volunteer sponsorship? A lot of good causes out there to help Steem get more recognition and create greater competitive edge over the more inferior social networking giants.
Great Ideas. Steemit is the future for social media.
