This style of writing is called Fibonacci poetry. The lines have syllable counts that follow the Fibonacci sequence (1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, etc.,) which is generated by adding the last two numbers in the sequence to create the next one. Fibonacci poetry was founded by Gregory K. Pincus in 2006.
