How Long Is 22 Inches Compared to an Object?
Before actually trying 22 inches, I always thought, "It's just a little longer." But honestly, 22 inches is a length you need to be mentally prepared for; it's not something you can just put on and seamlessly integrate into your daily life.
The first time I realized how long 22 inches is was when I compared it to my carry-on suitcase. When the handle is fully extended, the vertical length is very close to 22 inches. Later, I tried comparing it to clothing: a medium-length sweatshirt, hanging naturally from the shoulders, would have 22 inch hair extending past the waistline, almost reaching the hips. That's when you realize it's already in the "lower body visual" range.
The feeling of wearing it is more noticeable than I imagined. When standing, the length looks very good; it makes the whole person look taller, especially with straight or large curls, giving a powerful presence without needing any extra accessories. But as soon as I sat down, I immediately realized: this is not a "completely unnoticeable" length. The hair naturally rests on the front of the body, its presence is very strong, and you'll subconsciously want to adjust it.
I later came to understand that 22 inches is more of a "situational length." If you're taking photos, attending events, or you're already used to having long hair, it's a great advantage; but if you're looking for something casual, convenient, and quick to wear, it will definitely require a little more effort.
If I had to describe it with an object, the analogy I agree with most is: 22 inches ≈ the length of a guitar body. It's not exaggerated, but a substantial, noticeable length.
