The Body: Intrinsic Movements

Mind Body Paradigm

Let's take a closer look at health. The Mind and Body paradigm hasn't been clearer.

Our brain has developed from the reptilian core, what dictates survival. It's been known as:

  1. The ID-Sigmund Freud
  2. Collective Unconcious-Carl Gustav Jung
  3. النَّفْسَ لَأَمَّارَةٌ- (nafs-ul-ammarah)
  4. Taṇhā Taṇhā
  5. Survival of the Fittest- Darwin
  6. Born of Sin
  7. ......
    Or
ME as I'll be calling it

History shows that we need to tame this insatiable desire. This implies that the ME is bad. This guilt trip helps to form a bond to the WE or as Adam Smith liked to call it, the Invisible hand.
It's this social good, this desire to always make a decision to make everyone's lives better.

They are logical and valid. We simply do not have enough resources to sustain such a level of growth and still have our personal luxuries and elitism. Rabbit Hole.

Anyhow, this disconnection between the ME and WE was bridged by filling the void. This void is filled with passion, productivity, entertainment, wasting time, depression, anxiety, overwhelming desires.

But they all came with grounding your mind to your body. The mechanism of yesterday was meditation, prayer along with physical stances and movements.

This helped people and increased the quality of life. They bridged the void with something that grounded the WE to the ME. At this point, WE is our frontal cortex (awareness of others) and ME is the reptilian brain.

Bridging the Body & Mind

This is where it all get's great. Look back and you'll see that briding the mind to the body was all about #mindfulness. In order for you to understand mindfulness and idea of it must be developed. A few are:

  1. Qi
  2. soul
  3. Energy
  4. Neuromuscular Connectivity
  5. ......

One thing in common is a daily exercise that connects the body to the mind. Breathing techniques and physical movements grounding the body (you really need nature in this- dirt/soil/grass) with the mind.

This makes sure that the reptilian brain doesn't die out. Remeber every year your body's VO2 max (which is how much oxygen you can consume) will decrease by 1-10% per year. But if you get yourself moving you'll actually add to your life.

We need to develop a new form or resuse the old form but we need to start young. We are all on the web, our minds are all connected but our bodies are not being taken care of.
