I visited the largest hardware store in our area, popularly known as Al-Madina Hardware. This shop provides a wide range of electrical goods, pipe fittings, PVC, bulbs, wall paints, wires, nails, screws, and almost all types of hardware items and spare parts. The owner of the shop is Nazim Uddowla, who is my neighbor paternal grandfather.

Location:
The store is located in the Kodomrasul area, right beside the Dhaka-Chittagong highway and adjacent to a One Bank ATM. Due to its prime location on the highway and its large size including a warehouse, it easily catches the eye of anyone passing by. The shop remains open every day of the week, from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, providing consistent service to its customers.

Growth and Build:
It's Established in 2021, Al-Madina Hardware has gained very good fame as the most popular hardware store in our area in a very short time. The best part about this store is that you can find all necessary items under one roof.

Store Layout and Interior:
Initially, it started as a single shop, and I have shared a picture of the main outlet. However, it now features a large adjacent warehouse to stock most of the goods. The interior of the shop is quite spacious and well-organized.

It has a simple yet functional design with a tin-shed roof and adequate lighting. While most hardware stores tend to have a plain interior, Al-Madina Hardware stands out because its products are neatly arranged and categorized.

Product Range:
From electrical components and outdoor fittings to materials required for building new structures—everything is available here. The products are organized on large shelves in dedicated sections. For instance, there is a specific section only for bulbs, which makes the store look very organized.

The shop stocks essentials like locks, keys, electric testers, pliers, measuring tapes, and multi-plugs. Screws and nails ranging from 0.5 inch to 3 inches are always available. They also provide PVC pipes, magic pipes, and a full range of bathroom and toilet fittings.

Dealerships and Produce Price:
Al-Madina Hardware holds dealerships for several renowned paint brands, including Asian Paints, Berger, and Rainbow Paints. Additionally, I have personally purchased electrical wires of various thicknesses such as 1.0rm, 2.0rm, and 2.5rm and always found them in stock.

Safety and Payment:
The store is equipped with safety measures, including CCTV cameras and fire extinguishers. Currently, customers must pay in cash, as digital payment systems are not yet available. While they sometimes offer credit facilities to local residents, this is likely based on personal acquaintance and may not be available to everyone.

Service and Staff:
The store employs three staff members who are constantly busy preparing memos and packing products for customers. One of the biggest advantages of shopping here is their return policy: if you buy items for home construction and find them unnecessary later, you can return them even after a month.

My Personal Experience:
The owner, my uncle/grandfather, is a very kind and friendly person. Due to his excellent service, I see customers returning to his store repeatedly. Compared to other nearby hardware stores, Al-Madina Hardware has a much larger variety and a good stock of hardware essential items. As a regular customer, I am highly satisfied with their products and service.
