It seems like all the Discord shows take place on a Friday evening - well not quite all but a fair few anyway. I'm going to do a run down of the shows I joined in last night, which started at 7pm in the UK with Words with Witty it is an informal chat show hosted by the leader of #thealliance @enginewitty covering a range of current topics and some poetry reading as well featuring different steemians work each week. It's always entertaining,

With just an hours break between 8 and 9pm to catch up on comments, it's then straight back into SteemitRamble for the new Barbarella show hosted by @ravijojla and @anutu with co-host @crazybgadventure - it's a topical show with a strong emphasis on support and helping accounts grow - so if you are looking for good advice on how to build a following and grow your account this is a great show to be in. That filled in 9 to 10pm my time, in fact it overran a little because the big fish guest of the week wouldn't stop talking!

Taking a short break from the shows, this mystery package arrived this week and I wonder if you can guess where it came from? Incredibly neat hand writing, this would have to be someone in a teaching or education role I think. The contents might help, custom hat for my #Haturdays , a brown paper wrapped item and something precious in a silky pouch. Also more very neat handwriting in a written letter - with drawn emoji!

Inside the brown paper wrapper was this mug, obviously the mystery package sender knows me very well because it is a coffee theme mug! What is really cool about this one is the shape - it looks like a tablet bottle. Then the wording on it sounds like instructions for medicine - it really made me laugh - especially expires when cold! Even better though - the top diameter of the mug is the perfect size for my Aeropress - most mugs are too narrow and I have to use a funnel instead.

Back to discord and 10pm to 11pm is the RED discord show Informal Witness, this week @arcange was being interviewed by hosts @eaglespirit and @enginewitty with questions taken from the show audience. As a top Witness arcange has developed many services for the Steem blockchain including Steemsql, Scam Warning Bot, SteemToolbar for chrome and SteemitBoard I really enjoyed the show and learned a great more about the platform at the same time.

Where did you get that #Haturday, this super custom hat even has my Witness banner on it. 11pm to Midnight is the @helpie post shilling show, where you call in and share other peoples posts you enjoyed during the week. I shared a few posts A poem by Paintingangels and ink art by DonnaDavis and enjoyed listening to @meno and his inspirational speaking.

And in that silky pouch, this amazing Silver coin with a Stormtrooper embossed on it. Have you guessed where my gifts came from? It was @saffisara my #TeamHug best friend and all round super fun and happy person. Thank you @saffisara a wonderful surprise that really made my week 🤗

And to finish my Friday night Midnight to 2am, there was no PlayHouse this week as @carrieallen was busy so I was a little lost. I remembered though that I had often heard that @poeticsnake did a show at the same time - so I set out hunting down the discord - and ended up just contacting poetic snake direct for an invite. I joined in the voice chat and enjoyed the curation post sharing, @thebugiq was there and as always an impressive commanding speaker - lots of interesting discussion made for a throughly pleasant end to the evening. While the Friday show clashes with ThePlayhouse there is a Monday curation show I am going to do my best to attend.

And that was my Friday night, pretty much 8 hours solid from 7pm of discord shows and talking - amazing really seeing as I don't really like talking on discord because I think I sound silly.

Most of these shows are easily accessible, if you are struggling to locate any of the `discords let me know in the comments. Making use of curation shows really can help get your work seen - and getting your name seen around never hurts people will remember you more and take the time to look out your blog. Everything helps to bring more people to your posts, and these shows are fun!
