Bread contains yeast and best to avoid it altogether, if possible, for a healthy diet.
Also making yourself to eat more at breakfast if I remember proven to be worse. If you are hungry then eating more at breakfast IF it helps you to stay away from more food consumption later is a good idea. For some people it doesn't reduce consumption at a later time at all. Then all you are doing is just increasing your daily calorie intake and ultimately gaining weight.
Every person's metabolism and even more importantly psychology is different. Combined with dufferent hormone activity one approach could be good for a set of people while it might not work for others.
For example I've heard success stories from people trying it 'tis way - "eat almost anything but just once a day".
Anyway as long as your strategy of eating breakfast doesn't add more calories to your day, you should be ok.
