If proper steps are not taken in the way of Oral (mouth) cancer in our country, due to the spread of the epidemic, then in India alone there can be an untimely demise of nearly nine lakh people in the next three years alone.

According to the Indian Council Medical Research (ICMR), due to the rising incidence of cancer in the country, by the year 2020, about 17.3 lakh people will suffer from this deadly disease and about 8.8 lakh people will lose their lives due to this. Not only this, millions of families will be affected but the economy of the country will also have a very adverse impact.

BRICS countries' worries have increased due to heavy spending on cancer treatment and worsening economy.

BRICS recently released a survey report, according to which 2012 cancer deaths in only five of BRICS countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa) have affected their economy to a great extent.

Due to this disease, these countries had to suffer about $ 46.3 billion of economic losses. According to the report, consumption of tobacco products by the year 2012 has not only affected the country's economy, but also has seen a significant decline in its GDP. Due to the huge expenditure on the treatment of cancer, India's total efficiency decreased by about 6.7 billion in 2012, which is 0.36 percent of the economic growth rate.
