RE: 48 hours into My First Fasting

in #health7 years ago (edited)

Fasting is a deep and complicated science. I'd say anything beyond 48 hours can be tricky or dangerous if you are not experienced/trained in fasting. If this is your first long fast (over 24h) i'd say that 48h is enough. Better go buy some light food/juice now to have at hand for when you will decide to stop the fast.
It is kind of like running, if it the the first time you go for a run, trying to run 15k can injure your body. If you are experienced, its your weekend run!

Edit: Putting some honey into your tea is good for cleansing. Also: remember that your body needs salt even on fasting days.

Man this is very very deep stuff, I meditated earlier and it was so much more intense. Im getting on off bodily tingles and I feel like my blood circulation is flowing better. I was thinking to wait until my bowels are emptied and not needing a 'number 2' as I recall an ex when she told me she was very shocked that a human still poo's even after days of not eating.

I think tomorrow I shall go buy a stick blender and beautiful organic things and do some plant based smoothys.

A part of me trusts to do another 48hours, but to go get things ready for when I feel its time. I think this can go some more though, I didnt even meditate at all really and could easily pass time with this. I havent even been resting as a sick person would as in laying down and not doing anything, I have quite alot of energy and im wondering how it will be tomorrow 😀

Even after this experiment I know that I will be fasting again! So theres no need to push it to where I feel uncomfortable. Dam I feel good though from this.

One time a mate crawled in agony and im full body cramps into my wagon in spain and woke me up screaming for help, It turned out after a trip to the hospital he had no salt left in his body, so Im quite aware of how important salt is for us, we had no clue what was wrong with him at the time!

Oh yeh the honey! Great idea!
