Malrotation syndrome.
The intestine normally rotate in certain fashion during the fetal period ( the time in the womb)
However, in malrotation syndrome; the rotation is either incomplete or awkward fashion.
The baby usually present with features to suggest intestinal blockade.
This include: vomiting, repeated constipation, distended belly.
Based on the degree of the malrotation.
The baby can present early or at later age.
A few people may be asymptomatic. That means it doesn't cause any symptoms .
The treatment usually involves surgery .
The cause is unknown.
There is no known prevention strategy .
