RE: Childhood Is Not A Mental Disorder! Maybe This Inspiring Video Will Change Some Minds About Just Who is 'Normal'.
I think we should stop putting labels on EVERYTHING ... but first and foremost, we need to stop pressuring children into thinking about all of the labels that others are putting on them. Gender-related, Disability-related, whatever you want to look at.. let kids be kids and grow up and learn and decide things on their own without telling them how they're supposed to feel and what they're supposed to do. That's never been the way to nurture personal / individual growth and it never will be!
Yes, labels are not really required - we would benefit greatly from focusing more into allowing feelings to guide the mind rather than creating rigid structures for the mind to conform to.
Yes labels are only thoughts from others. We should be encouraging children to question the beliefs of others and the world that they are growing up in, this would prevent them from being conditioned by others beliefs and the current habit of labelling everything. We need to break the habits passed down from generation to generation and the way to do so is by helping the younger generation to question it.
Absolutely, yes - habits and judgments both limit consciousness and habits can actually set the body up for death. Life is constantly changing, so any rigidity is a problem.
Labels are so damaging. In terms of energy, when you label yourself or you take on label that someone has given you, you are connecting yourself to every other person who has that label. So an addict just connects themselves to all addicts in the world, same for illnesses etc.
If you then want to heal yourself from that condition you have to disconnect yourself from all the connects to everyone else and this is what makes healing so hard for some. The more connected someone is to a label the harder it is for them to heal.
