I am looking at the list of ingredients in the organic toothpaste I amusing here and it uses vegetable derived glycerin to create the fluidy aspect of the paste's structure (which is the same ingredient I was using when I made my own previously). There's no Propylene Glycol in it, however, I don't know if Glycerin is considered any less of a problem for the teeth at the microscopic level.
