The ancient language of ivrit ( עברית ) Genesis 1 - Part 4
The full study is now on line covering
the Alef - Beyt in detail @hebrew on Steemit.com
. The vowels are marked in this bible and are designed to help avoid confusion on what a word is and how it is pronounced, as if there is not already enough of that in the interpretations globally. In modern spoken Hebrew, only children need the niqqud until they have the pronunciation memorized.
This is a very late start to my Shabbat reading because I still have a sore throat and congestion. The King has been gracious to me today, and I was able to record a reading in only two takes.
Some update caused DTube to fail to transition from video upload to IPFS - video plays after drag-n-drop and the snap gets there. Do all the work and find that the video never uploaded. Trying via Andriod. Second and third tries from phone. Invalid permalink? I just want to teach my Hebrew class :/
Last reading we left off with creation, the end of day one.
Today's video covers day two. Note that we see the word Aleph-Shin-Resh (asher) a couple of times. It can means "that" and "which" as we read. It can also have other interpretations, that which, it that, he who, she who, etc. we will see them as we read on but these only help us to understand how we would say the phrase in English. The best path to understanding is to move from interpreting to understanding each word in Hebrew.
As we saw when we studied Tav, I had mentioned the word Alef Tav et in Hebrew. There is no interpretation for it in English. There is in Spanish. It is part of the language letting us know what is coming next. When you see et note that the next word will be the person, place or thing that was impacted by the previous action.

Another note:
In this reading the Almighty took the first ha'shamayim, the one he created just before ha'erets, in the first sentence of the book. He separated them the waters above from those below and gave each massive body of water a name.

I have read and watched your videos, hopefully you get well soon, actually I want to ask you many questions, but before I explain my point openly, I do not dare to do that, I am afraid there will be a misunderstanding and also things I do not want to happen in the future that will have a bad impact on me

כל הכבוד
I am trying to keep it slow because hearing Hebrew slowly read was the hardest thing to find when I was first learning.
hebrew is the most ancient language @hebrew
וַיַּ֧רְא אֱלֹהִ֛ים אֶת־הָאֹ֖ור כִּי־טֹ֑וב וַיַּבְדֵּ֣ל אֱלֹהִ֔ים בֵּ֥ין הָאֹ֖ור וּבֵ֥ין הַחֹֽשֶׁךְ׃
עברית היא שפה מדהימה. תודה על הדרכות
Well this is something different on Steemit.com
Looks really complicated.
The language is complicated as learning any language would be. My @hebrew blog has all the letters and symbolism from the very first - scroll down my home page to see them. The joy is in the adventure!
I am looking at them now. When I was young they said Latin was the only true word of God.
agree with you sir
I believe that the largest church established at the time made laws or decrees in order to keep the Christian bible from being translated, so that it could be understood in all languages. I will be teaching many examples that show the Greek and Latin that are said to be the original languages of the holy writings were actually translated from Hebrew.
Once you are caught up on the lessons you will see those lessons.
I am very glad to learn a part of this ancient and beautiful language again, like Hebrew! Thank you for your lessons @hebrew
anazing work sir i like hebrew language
