The ancient language of ivrit ( עברית ) - Lamed

Like the Alphabet, The letters in Hebrew are called the Alef - Beyt and they are presented on my blog from bottom to the top so you can learn them order, then to read them right to left. You will see what the original "Bible" said and what the names meant as they went through the stories of old.

Here is Lamed : symbolizing a shepherd staff - It also means to "teach", "yoke", or "bind".

Lamed is consonant and sounds like "L " but softer than the English "L" - almost soft enough to be an "R"

If you say Lamed the same as an L in English, you will be understood perfectly, but people may hear an American accent. Listen for the difference and improve your L pronunciation as we have more audio classes.

It's the twelfth letter and is the number 30 when used as a number.
