We live extreme times in relation to body aesthetics.
If on the one hand we have the fanatics for bodies healed and modeled, to the extreme of masculine women and full of muscles (sic!), On the other hand we have fanatics for mutilation, tattoos or piercings or the three styles mixed.
I wonder what causes people to change their body appearance so much.
I see in this a spiritual void and excess of hedonism, or exaggerated appreciation of the role of his body in his human image.
God made us perfect in their bodily functionality and if we have some "defects," they serve to make us more humble and teach us some lesson. The possible bodily "defects" are easily overcome and we see examples of this overcoming every day. Painters without hands, talented musicians without feet or even vision, etc.
Our civilization is too much based on the physical image to determine the value of a person and this will lead us on a dangerous path.
These values are propagated and are also worshiped in the arts and the media and influence human behavior, such as for example in assessing a person's professional value.
History shows us that societies that exacerbated their worship of the human physicist were later lost in low moral values that led to their destruction.
Think about it!
