Helicopter service is going to be more expensive in Bangladesh as the finance minister has proposed supplementary duty on it.
AMA Muhith while presenting budget for the 2018-19 fiscal said on Thursday hiring helicopter rides for fast travel has become “very popular” among the rich nowadays.
“This service is expanding gradually,” he said. “Hence, I propose to impose 20 percent supplementary duty on helicopter service.”
The government also imposed 5 percent VAT on mobile app-based ride-sharing services on Thursday in an executive order.
