Moving Authenticator to a new Phone
So I got a new phone and need to move authenticator over to the new device.
I have a ton of accounts that I need to move, i.e. I have like 15 apps that are all using authenticator.
There is of course the manual way of doing it which means switching 2fa off and switching it on with the new device again.
First of this is not very safe, and secondly this is a lot of work. Is there not a way to move the entire thing over to the new phone?
try this https://www.techrepublic.com/article/move-google-authenticator-from-one-android-device-to-another/
Thanks, exactly what I needed.
I am glad it worked out for you.
My phone got broken and i needed to do that too
You can use adb and extract the google authenticator .db file

Stay safe!
Sir, you can read all the steps here
Interesting question, you may need access to the phone number that is linked to your account (for confirmation via SMS message) or the recovery code that you recorded when setting up the authenticator. Thank you @knircky and let us know what you did.
I hope someone provides a solution as I was wondering about the exact same thing!
