Complete Guide To What is Steem(it)
One thing I noticed when joining Steemit three days ago is that information is hard to find on what Steem and Steemit actually is. Also there are many good tools and resources available but no one knows them. This post tries to adress that issue.
So many new users ask themselves:
What is Steem and what is Steemit?
Steemit is a social network, similar to https://www.reddit.com/ where you can post, comment and vote on content. But the twist is, you get Steem when others like your content. And Steem is worth money. Currently over a dollar. So unique content creators can earn money without the users having to pay for it.
That sounds nice, but how do i get in?
Steemithelp has a wonderful tutorial for this.

Thank you @atare :) It sadly is a really old post, so resteeming it won't show up on your feed. But we plan to redo it at some point :) and sharing the link works.
OK I will share the link but how do I get the link? @reggaemuffin
You have done a fantastic job, @reggaemuffin! I've been in steemit for about 3 months and have not come across such a useful comprehensive resource . Well done!!! Upvoted, resteemed post and now following you.

Am new here and am searching for guidance, can you please mentor me? @reggaemuffin
Very well done post. As long as I have been on here this is one of the best collections of steem resources that I have found in a post. Good job. Looking forward to more in depth analysis on steem and her applications from you in the future.
Thanks a lot! I am a dev myself and with the first app I wrote, I noticed after finishing it that it already existed... So I got up to make a list of all the things currently existing so that other devs can work on new problems and users find all these tools. If you ever find something not covered by the list, please tell me :)
..ja man...thankyouthankyouthankyou for info..follow you..

Wow! Looks like you spent a lot of time putting this together. Thank you! Followed and Resteemed.
Aw well, I can't resteem this :(
I'm with you @magick323 - I'd like to resteem this post so I can find it again easily - but after a short time, that feature is archived on posts. Some posts are good enough to want to keep current. This is one such post.
This is a fantastic article. What a great resource! I'm going to resteem it so more people can see it.
Welcome to Steemit, by the way :)
Thanks :)
Great job on this ! Will definitely be able to use the Apps and libraries for this tool/plugin I am planning.
Cool! What are you planning to do? Happy to add it to the list when it is ready 😉
I am gathering my thoughts. When I get concrete output you will be the first to know through this thread.
