Powering Down My Steem Power

Good day, I know many of you here are genius.

Please who will kindly give me an assist on this.

I made a Steem Power Down, hoping and thinking it is being made to increase my steem balance or steem dollar balance.

My question here is HOW DOES THE STEEM POWER DOWN WORKS?

    Powering down fully takes a 30 period of time paid out weekly.

      You have to wait 1 week for the first payout, you will then get 13 more weekly payouts
