Child Foundation Weekly Newsletter

in #helpie5 years ago

Greetings!

I would like to introduce myself as the new President and CEO of Child Foundation. I am honored to have the privilege of serving this noble organization. It is appropriate that I extend my deep gratitude to Mr. Lashgari for his devoted service in the role of President of Child Foundation. I am happy to announce that Child Foundation’s Board of Directors has elected Mr. Lashgari as the new Chairman of the Board. In this new capacity, he will continue to lead humanitarian charges of this organization.

Last week, we celebrated the 25th year anniversary of our organization in Portland, Oregon. This celebration was attended by a number of our supporters, donors, and sponsors. We are proud of our longevity in the world of humanitarian work, and we owe our success to your support.

As reported by Mr. Lashgari in our previous newsletters, we started to help children affected by one of the most devasting floods in Iran history. Our initial goal was to support 1,000 children who lost everything for a period of at least six months. We plan to continue helping these children beyond this period if they meet our scholarship criteria. However, our local offices in the flooded area would like us to do even more. Please note that based on a recent UNICEF report over 1,000,000 individuals had been affected. So, I would encourage you to join us by sponsoring one or more children here .

Thank you,

Navid Seyedali
President and CEO

When a Seed Becomes a Mighty Tree!

One of the most rewarding aspects of working at Child Foundation is hearing the success stories. We hear countless narratives about a child who had our scholarship, did well in school, and now has a notable profession. Recently, we heard a story from Mostafa, one of our previously sponsored children from Amol that made us especially proud. He was able to complete medical school, and he is not serving in outlying villages of Iranshahr in Sistan Baluchistan, one of the most impoverished areas of Iran.

Thanks to his sponsors who gave him the extra help he needed to complete his education and grow into a successful doctor.

If you nurture a seed, it can grow into a mighty tree!
