Nordic Walk : Good For Health

If you can't go for rigorous exercises, don't worry! Go for "Nordic walk" which is a full-body fitness activity that enhances regular walking by using specially designed poles, similar to cross-country ski poles. It engages up to 90% of the body's muscles, almost double compared to normal walking.

It feels like you were rowing a boat in slow motion.

We grip poles with wrist straps, planting them at a slight backward angle while swinging arms vigorously. This propels the body forward, as if doing cross-country skiing motions like single or double poling. It improves posture, with shoulders relaxed and elbows slightly bent for rhythmic strides.

Nordic walk boosts calorie burn, improves cardiovascular health, strengthens core, arms, and legs, and enhances balance without joint stress. Good for all ages and fitness levels especially my age as it is low-impact but effective for weight management and posture correction.

Good for all ages and fitness levels

This low-impact exercise suits all fitness levels, reducing joint stress on knees and hips while providing stability for newbies especially as these poles distribute weight evenly.

***Caution: ***

  • Use adjustable poles fitted to your height
  • Start slowly on flat terrain, focusing on arm-leg coordination.
