What is your traditional dessert? Have you tried it?..

Iam from india and iam belongs to tamilnadu state. Traditional sweets of Tamil Nadu include payasam, kesari, sugar pongal, jhangiri, manoharam and various rice and dal-based sweets. These are commonly prepared during festive seasons and auspicious occasions.

Some of the main traditional sweets

  • Payasam: A creamy sweet made from rice, lentils, semiya or jowari with milk or coconut milk.
  • Kesari: A sweet made from semolina, sugar, ghee and saffron. It is smooth and buttery.
  • Sakkarai Pongal: A delicious sweet made from rice, lentils, jaggery and ghee with cardamom and dry fruits.
  • Jangiri: A round-shaped sweet. Although it resembles an imarthi in shape, it is famous for its mild taste.

Make any one of the recipes that you like most from traditional desserts, with a detailed step-by-step procedure along with images.

Payasam

There are many types of payasam such as Rice payasam, semiya payasam, gothumai payasam etc. Today I am showing you the recipe for semiya payasam. To make semiya payasam, whole wheat semiya is generally used. Since it is a quick sweet, sugar is often used. To make semiya payasam, whole wheat semiya is generally used. Do you face any difficulty during making this recipe.

There is no difficulty in preparing this dish. It is a very easy dish to prepare. So I did not face any difficulty. All the ingredients are available very close by and most of the ingredients are at home. So I do not have any difficulty in buying the ingredients. There is no difficulty in cleaning them. It is important to note that while boiling the jowari, it should be cooked on low flame and you should keep stirring it with a spoon, otherwise the bottom part will burn.

At what occasion do you want to make your dessert.

Payasam is one of the delicious dishes served in every home in South India, Tamil Nadu. Payasam, a much-loved sweet dish in South Indian cuisine, has been a staple of celebrations and religious offerings for centuries. It is customary to serve this dish when guests come to the house. Similarly, it is customary to serve this dish in some form of a payasam on all our special occasions. For example, this dish definitely finds a place in celebrations like weddings, engagements, birthdays, etc.
