What is Obesity? Explain it

Mr Watt was a teacher in primary school and taught history, he loved very much his subject and as a young man he travelled a lot because he wanted to see the places live, the places that had historical meaning. While being a teacher it was his responsibility to explain children how everything was and he wanted to do it from his own experience and not from the stuff learnt in books.

One day when he was teaching he noticed that he became short of breath and thought that it was due to overworking, being tired and also that it could be an infection or cold and he did not pay attention. The time was passing and his cough did not get better, he just learnt how to live with it. Despite of that his pupils noticed that Mr. Watt is coughing more and more frequently and time to time he had to stop his class and leave for a moment just to properly clean his throat. After couple of minutes he was back and managed to continue his teaching. The children were worried and asked if Mr. Watt was all right. He just answered that he was fine and it was just a cough.

Few weeks later it was time of school holiday he decided to see a doctor, doctor had many questions and was very attentively listen to all the symptoms. The doctor was surprised to find that Mr. Watt is not getting better for about half of the year. He first reassured Mr Watt saying that there will be couple of tests and of course an Xray for his chest to check if there is a chronic infection or so. At this stage both of them Mr. Watt and the doctor knew it is a simple reassurance and the possibility of something more dangerous like cancer disease is more realistic. Mr. Watt was an old man and knew that one day it will be time and that he may face this horrible reality. On other hand he as any of us had a little bit of hope or better to say of a wish that everything is maybe not so bad and it is just a simple cold.

One week later he noticed that he missed a phone call from his doctor, he was anxious on one hand but he was scared to find out what it was. He left about one day and then phone his doctor. His heart was racing and he crossed his fingers, he pleaded to God, but everything, every hope was destroyed within a second when he heard a word “Cancer”.

A poignant and emotional story. Mr. Watt's dedication to teaching and his subject is admirable and the way you have portrayed his struggles with cancer diagnosis is heart-wrenching. Well-written wish you all the best.

Indeed, a simple cough can be a sign of serious illnesses like cancer. Therefore, a long-lasting cough must be seen by a doctor without ignoring it.

Thank you for organising the contest and I am glad that you also agree that often we should pay attention to even small symptoms that we develop they may to prevent the severe disease on early stage.
