There's a reason that Wowflower nabbed my number 2 slot on my top 5 albums of 2017. His off-kilter, atmospheric, often moody and emotionally affecting production is such a breath of fresh air in a sea of bland, flavorless "chill-hop" producers. And this newest track upload on his Soundcloud, "Evansbay" just cements my thoughts and feelings on his music even further. Whether its another layer of drums being added to the mix for maximum head nod factor, or a subtle turn of the sample to change up the vibe ever so slightly, there's so much going on here that it takes multiple listens just to catch all the clever little touches. Here's hoping we'll see another high-quality release from this truly unique producer in 2018!
