The Mexican War

When I first learned that the brother of one of my ancestors had fought in the Mexican War, I began an in-depth study of the conflict, which I otherwise wouldn't have pursued. I've learned so much.

I read a book about General Pillow, one of his commanders. Future president Franklin Pierce served as a lieutenant.
