Hello Steemians!!

Such a day as today, a March 27, 1977, which began as a vacation for a group of California retirees, term being the most deadly air crash in history! And that in turn would mark great changes in the International Civil Aviation.

Today, I bring you a very detailed documentary about what happened that terrible day, where a Boeing 747 aircraft (or as many call it "Jumbo") of the Dutch airline "KLM" and a second aircraft Boeing 747 of the airline Currently closed "Panam" collided in the airport of Los Rodeos, Tenerife. Leaving 583 dead and 61 survivors.

Who would think that that day the universe would conspirate perfectly, joining all the slices of the Swiss cheese theory to make it happen...

Without nothing more to add, here is the biggest air crash in the history of aviation!

Here is a list of the unsafe actions and conditions that I consider quite relevant for this catastrophe:

• Air traffic controllers had little experience in controlling high-performance aircraft such as the Boeing 747.
• The terrorist attack that forced to close the airport of Gran Canarias and caused that the traffic was diverted to the alternate airport.
• Adverse weather conditions.
• Controllers do not see the planes they are control.
• The pilots were not familiar with the airport.
• The KLM Pilot doesn't wait for take-off clearance.
• The Captain of KLM felt confident.
• Possible lack of situational awareness of KLM Captain
• There was a total lack at the moment of not requesting takeoff confirmation (KLM). This generated a change in the flight phraseology
• Interference in communications
• The KLM Captain omitted what the Co-pilot and Flight Engineer expressed. This translates into a failure of the CRM (Crew Resource Management)
• The controllers sent two high-performance aircraft maneuvering on the same runway.
• 5000 liters of additional fuel in the KLM aircraft. Perhaps the accident would have been avoided if this action had not been taken.

These and other actions led to the loss of many lives, possibly the omission of one of these has saved them. It is unacceptable to be a Pilot and not try to learn from the mistakes of others. As future pilots and aircraft captains, it is our duty to carry out an analysis and nourish ourselves of knowledge, so that the day when the universe conspires and puts us in its sights, we can say "We Saved Lives".

¡La mayor catástrofe aérea de la historia! “Accidente de los Rodeos”

Buenas Buenas amigos Steemians!!

Tal día como hoy, un 27 de marzo del año 1977, lo que comenzó como unas vacaciones para un grupo de jubilados de california término siendo el accidente aéreo con más muertes en la historia! Y que a su vez marcaria grandes cambios en la Aviación Civil Internacional.

El día de hoy, les traigo un documental bastante detallista sobre lo que sucedió ese espantoso día, donde una aeronave Boeing 747 (o como muchos le dicen “Jumbo”) de la aerolínea holandesa “KLM” y una segunda aeronave Boeing 747 de la aerolínea actualmente clausurada “Panam” colisionaron en el aeropuerto de Los Rodeos, Tenerife. Dejando a 583 muertos y 61 sobrevivientes.

Quien pensaría que ese día el universo conspiraría de manera perfecta, uniendo todas las rodajas de la teoría del queso suizo para que esto sucediera…

Sin más nada que añadir aquí les dejo ¡El mayor Accidente aéreo en la historia de la aviación!

Aquí una lista de las acciones y condiciones inseguras que considero bastante relevantes para que ocurriera esta catástrofe:

• Los controladores aéreos tenían poca experiencia en el control de aeronaves de gran performance como el Boeing 747.
• El atentado terrorista que obligó a cerrar el aeropuerto de Gran Canarias e hizo que el tráfico se desviara al aeropuerto alterno.
• Condiciones meteorológicas adversas.
• Los controladores no ven los aviones que están dirigiendo.
• Los pilotos no estaban familiarizados con el aeropuerto.
• El Piloto de KLM no espero la autorización de despegue.
• El Capitán de KLM se sentía confiado.
• Posible falta de conciencia situacional del Capitán de KLM
• Hubo una falta total al momento de no pedir confirmación del despegue (KLM). Esto genero un cambio en la fraseología de vuelo
• Interferencia en las comunicaciones
• El Capitán de KLM omitió lo que le expreso el Co-piloto y el Ingeniero de vuelo. Esto se traduce en una falla del CRM (Crew Resource Managenment) que en castellano es "Gerenciamiento de los Recursos Humanos".
• Los controladores mandaron a dos aviones de gran performance, maniobrar sobre la misma pista.
• 5000 litros de combustible adicional en el avión de KLM. Quizás se hubiese evitado el accidente si no se realizaba esta acción.

Estas y otras acciones llevaron a la perdida de muchas vidas, posiblemente la omisión de una de estas las haya salvado. Es inaceptable ser Piloto y no tratar de aprender de los errores ajenos. Como futuros Pilotos y Capitanes de aeronaves es nuestro deber realizar un análisis y nutrirnos del conocimiento, para que el día en que el universo conspire y nos ponga en su mira, podamos decir “Salvamos Vidas”.
