In my time, I mean when I understand football.The funniest I have read about is Asamoah Gyan of Ghana. Am sorry if the spelling is not right.

When asked why he wore 3 as shirt no he said He was quoted as saying, “Three is the shirt I wore as a teenager in Ghana. It is a powerful number. If you are lifting something heavy, you count to three before you lift. If you want to warn someone, you warn them once, then twice and the third time you take action.”
