Nice blog post. I would like to also add that the term "shelling out" or I had to "shell out" when paying a bill comes from these cowry shells. It is kind of funny how we keep using the phrase when most people don't know where the terminology originates from. Cowry shells, shelling out.

When I had first read about the phrase's origin it surprised me, more so that I use that phrase on occasion yet had no clue of the origin. Cheers gmh.
