Manastirea Gura Humorului..jpgHumor Monastery (sometimes called the Humor Monastery) is an Orthodox monastery in Romania, built in 1530 in the village of Humorului Monastery in the homonymous village (currently in Suceava County) by the great logger Toader Bubuiog. The church of the monastery has the patrons of the Assumption of the Virgin (celebrated each year on August 15) and the Holy Martyr George (celebrated on April 23).

The Humorului Monastery was included on the List of Historical Monuments in Suceava County in 2015 at position 292, with classification code SV-II-a-A-05570. [1] The monastery ensemble consists of four objectives:

[2]![]According to the teachings of the elders, at the beginning of the fifteenth century, during the reign of Alexandru cel Bun (1400-1432), "Ivan the jubilee at Humor" erected a stone church on the shore of a brook, near its confluence with Humor. There is a hermitage of monks who previously had a wooden church. During the fifteenth century, a monastic settlement known as the Humor Monastery was developed around the new church. 3In the early decades of the sixteenth century, the church built by Ivan the Wharf collapsed for unknown causes. [3] The ruins of the ancient monastery can still be seen today, about 500 m from the current church. The ruins of the Old Humor Church were included on the List of Historical Monuments in Suceava County in 2015 under heading 291, with classification code SV-II-m-A-05569. [1] On this list it is stated that the ruins are about 100 m southwest of the present premises.![]
