RE: Exploring The Lost Continent of Atlantis!

in #history5 years ago

Hm, Atlantis its a sinked city, so its mean, it was at least once under the water, but it doesnt mean, its underwater now.
Here are some other things, if you are interested :)

Maybe its not underwater anymore.

Interesting, thanks. I was aware of that structure, though not a connection of it to a city associated with Atlantis. It is important to be aware that the massive length of time involved - from a human standpoint - leaves a huge amount of potential for misinterpretation and for definitions and details to be moved around. Maybe Plato was referring to this area in Africa but in reality even that wasn't the original Atlantis.. Maybe the survivors of the cataclysm of the sunken continent created the city in Africa and later people knew that as Atlantis.. Or maybe the alleged city in Africa was just one city of Atlantis in an area that survived, but the main continent sunk.

I think the evidence for a significant sunken portion of Atlantis is strong, but I also know that Atlanteans traveled the world and could have built cities in many places.

Maybe yes, or maybe not :)
Next to the fact, knowing the truth about Atlantis, its not neccesary at all, this is an exciting topic :)

And its also a fact, the level of see was much higher a long time ago, so its not impossible, the richat structure was the original Atlantis, when that part of Africa wasnt the current continent, but a separated land. I dont know, but its possible.

Actually we dont have enough maps of the oceans, so we dont know, what can be there in the deep. Maybe more ancient cities :)
