III. Carlos was born in 1716. Carlos is V. Felipe's son.

While Carlos was the prince, he achieved great military success. Carlos ensured that Spain won the ongoing war with Austria. Carlos first conquered Sicily, which was in the hands of Austria. Later, Carlos fought against the kingdom of Naples, an ally of Austria. And Carlos succeeded in conquering the non-conquered Naples castles. In 1734 Carlos became Napoli and Sicilian king.

In 1759, Carlos became the king of Spain. Carlos put a lot of emphasis on architecture. In this context, Carlos has made many new architectural structures especially in Naples and Spain. Carlos also made economic reforms and strengthened the Spanish economy.

Carlos died in 1788.
