Who is the inventor of the submarine? Here Some Info

in #history7 years ago

Holland John Philip is an American-Irish inventor who is credited with building the submarine. His Dutch ship, which he built in 1898, proved that the submarine is possible, and it is the first submarine that emerged later, and the model of its idea.

Holland was born in Clare County, Ireland, and began working on the concept of the submarine while teaching in Ireland between 1858 and 1872. In 1870, he completed the first plans of his invention. In 1873, Holland moved to the United States, where he settled in Paterson, New Jersey, and worked as a teacher.

Holland made plans to produce the submarine into the United States Navy in 1875, but it was not accepted. But Finian Palti, a group of Irish nationalists in the United States who had hoped to destroy the British navy, was interested in the invention and supported Holland's experiments and supplied him with money to build two submarines.
