RE: Atheists More Likely to Own a Cat than Church-Goers 🐈
We'll, it may apply to me, my cat is black to cap it all. Now I am curious. I may start my own survey, see if it applies.
Most people I know define themselves as believers, even if they do not attend church regularly, which is typical in Venezuela. Most people I know own some pet.
I will pay more attention now.
In any case this may not be that relevant.
As a theory, I'd say a truly religious person may have a hard time establishing a close relation with an animal. Animals were given to man for his use and control, not to socialize. Also, animals, if loved too much, may distract the believer's attention from what really matters, true devotion and piety. Who knows.
