I managed to capture a few images for this week as the insect world is waking up for Spring.
I've spotted a few Skipper Butterflies and a Cabbage White or two but no captures.

First up I got another Bee. This one was on the side of the planter box instead of ten feet up on the wall. lol
Unfortunately I only got off a couple of usable shots before it flew away.

I've noticed that every time I'm set up with the large telephoto lens( 2.8 m minimum focus distance) The Bees and Butterflies come around and when I'm set up for Closeup and Macro the birds come around =/

I'll start getting more and more insect images as the flower garden cranks up over the next few weeks.

Bees and Butterflies are not the only visitors. I've been seeing a few Wasps around as well.
Unlike the Bee this one was ten feet up on the wall, actually this one is on the facial board at the roof line.
Standing on my tip toes with the my arms up over my head. I cant even see the view finder/back image, I'm just pointing and waiting for the AF beep. lol

This one didn't fly away, instead it turned into the camera and took an aggressive posture.

I was getting that don't don't mess with me... or I'll cut you vibe coming off this on one as it kinda "puffed up" at the lens.

As I looks to me like I'm pissing this thing off and as I hate getting stung <,< I'm the on that end up flying off this time >,>
Thanks for stopping by. Till next week =)

Look at that face on that wasp! Love it! I am happy to hear that you didn't climb on anything to get these great photos. This seems to be one of those times when I say, "Run Bud...RUN!" Now, please tell your insect world to wake up my insect world. LOL!

At first glance I thought the bee was on skin ready to sting.

No it was just the flower planter box.
Also I don't think I've ever been stung by a Honey Bee. I've had them land on hands, arms, and camera wile taking photos. As long as you don't swat at them and such they are super mellow. Now the wasp family is another matter, unfortunately I've had some bad experiences with them. Good thing I'm not allergic.

I once had an experience with killer bees in Arizona. They bite without any provoking. Got me right in the eyebrow. Fortunately i had a bike to pedal away from them lol.

I love this. You are the person to suggest (to me) that spring is close. Thanks for the insect world heads up :)
