People are waiting for cricket after break from IPL as Yesterday there were lovely game between India and South Africa where South Africa chased down their biggest T20 total in a thriller game. It was small ground where both team scored 200+ runs and thus everyone enjoyed that game with sixes and boundaries. It's time to discuss that game, so let start.
It's a new venue and thus captain definitely will choose bowl, which Temba did. India played without Rahul which is not good for India whereas Markram also not in team due to illness. In the first over, bowl was misbehaving as a huge turn as well as low too. Faster got good pace and uncertain movement, and it looks like it's not good for batting, but India bat so well in power play, and thus they got good momentum. Kishan Later played superb inning as he scored 2 fours and 2 sixes in one over of Maharaj, but in last ball Kishan out while going to hit another six. Iyer also in aggressive mode as since seen spinner, trying to clear boundary and did. Once Kishan out, They look little slow in 3 overs, and it lost wicket of Iyer. Later Pant and Pandya showed their class and scored many runs which took their score to 211, and it will be a record chase target for South Africa for T20. Rabada and Nortje are expansive where each player not scored big unless Kishan but contributed well.
South Africa didn't start well as they lose Bavuma early and bowl also moving well. South Africa did good move to sent Pretorious at no 3 as pinch hitter where he scored 29 runs of 13 balls which gave momentum to South Africa as took score to 60 in 5 overs. De kock was slow, and thus Pretorious took charge in the power play. Later, Pretorious was out on a slow ball of Harshal Patel, but he did his work and set the platform for the upcoming player. De kock was caught by Kishan on the bowling of Axar Patel, which put South Africa on the back foot as they were 86/3 in 10 overs.
Rassie Van Der Dussen and Miller started to build partnership as Van Der Dussen struggling to score, but Miller was in good touch since first ball which because of his recent form of IPL. Miller started to count attack from one side and from other side Van Der Dussen not able to score boundaries. Iyer dropped Van Der Dussen simple catch while he was 29 from 30 balls, but since after it, Van Der Dussen played superb innings that only dealing in boundaries and sixes. Miller and him finished the game with 5 balls spare.Van Der Dussen scored 75 from 46 balls, where Miller scored 64 of 31 balls. Miller got man of the match for his game changing inning.
