THE NIGHTMARE CONTINUES FOR CHELSEA
Chelsea FC have come a long way from being a winning team to just maintaining the Top 4 position. The start of the Premier League season saw a very impressive run that merited praise from fans and critics alike.
Now, Chelsea FC is lucky to even grab 3 points from games that are well dominated in possession and chances created. What could be the cause of that?.
I believe it is safe to say that the attackers are to playing to their reputation. The midfielders and defenders are the ones coming to the rescue each time a win is secured. My colleagues have nicknamed Lukaku the 'sweat bag' which is a low rating for a $136m signing.
Chelsea have managed only four points out of their last four EPL games. The most devasting match was the game against Manchester United last week Thursday. Everyone knew Chelsea was in for the win and that showed in both halves of the game.
De Gea made some impressive saves which are admirable but for Chelsea fans, it was just torture. That is how I felt during the game. If you ask me, Manchester United wasn't fair to Chelsea at all. Where was Maguire to assist the Chelsea attackers in securing goals? 😂😂😂.
N'golo Kante is undoubtedly a key player for Chelsea. His performance is outstanding and always makes his presence felt in every game. Regardless of this, his only error in a game seems to cancel out all the good he has done. Talk about Benzema's goal in the return match, he failed to pick up the loose ball which led to that goal.
A similar thing happened to United's game where he lost the ball and failed to go for the loose ball once again which led to the equalizer. I wonder if it had anything to do with not being listed in the game against Everton yesterday.
Yesterday's loss to Everton did not come as a shock to me. I was kinda sympathizing with Frank's team because of the relegation threat. Some of my friends say the game was predetermined, seeing how Azipilicueta gave the ball away but I say it was Everton's plan all along. Knowing how Chelsea prefers to play from the back, I believe their main focus was to press the backline until they gave the ball away and it worked.
34 matches played now with 4 more to go and Chelsea lies in 3rd position with only 3 points above Arsenal who is eager to play n the UCL next season. Tottenham is also knocking which makes the situation dire for Chelsea. We cannot afford to lose any game going forward.
With some key players moving out at the end of this season, I wonder how the lineup would be for next season. One thing is for sure, Lukaku has to step up else he will go and Tuchel will call on his loan players. This season's EPL title is out of reach but hoping for a better turnout next season.

I think this relegation zone teams are trying their possible best in other to survive the fight. So every teams that makes a little mistake will be punish by them because of how eger they are to remain in the top flight.
