쓰나미가 무서운 것은 바닷물이 아닌
바닷물에 쓸려오는 물건들 때문입니다.

회오리바람 또한 바람 때문에 죽는 일보다
바람에 쓸려온 물건들에 치여서 다치고 죽습니다.

우리가 괴로운 건
우리에게 일어난 상황 때문이 아닙니다.
그 상황들에 대해 일으킨 어지러운 상념들 때문입니다.

The reason why tsunamis are scary is because of things that are washed away by seawater, not seawater.

The whirlwind is also hurt and killed by objects swept away by the wind rather than dying by the wind.

It's not because of what happened to us that we're suffering.
It's because of the dizzy thoughts that have arisen about the situations.
