Yikes. I knew a guy in college that once had 5000 dollars on a hockey game and the worst part was that he didn't actually have the money to pay the bookie if he lost. He was just a bit stressed out during the game but ended up winning in the end. Unfortunately this did not correct his irresponsible gambling habits and he ended up going to jail later in life for something related to gambling.

It's an addiction I've never understood but i have seen with my own eyes and it is very real.
