Witness Update | Dhaka Witness | Seed Node | API Ah node |
Hi Steemians, we are thrilled to announce the latest updates regarding our Steem seed node and API+Ah node on behalf of @dhaka.witness. After installing the witness node, we worked on the seed node and API+ah node.
Seed Node Update:
We successfully installed the seed node a few days ago. The Steem seed nodes are for when a new node wants to join the Steem blockchain, it needs to connect to at least one seed node. It provides the newcomer with information about the existing network, including the IP addresses of other active nodes. Seed nodes help in the initial synchronization of new nodes by providing them with a list of active peers. By connecting to these peers, the new node can download the blockchain's history and catch up with the latest state of the network. Once the synchronization is complete, the node becomes a fully participating member of the Steem blockchain.

API Ah Node Update:
After the seed node, we aimed for the Steem API Ah node and finally, we installed it. We have combined Api and Ah node together. Steem API nodes serve as gateways to access the Steem blockchain and its data programmatically. They provide an interface for developers and applications to interact with the Steem blockchain, retrieve information, and perform various operations.
