Thick Runner of Carpet (Freewrite Challenge)

The awards show may not be as glamorous as it used to. Masks are on to avoid getting caught by the virus, or perhaps avoid the criticisms of viewers, particularly those who are hiding in anonymity in social media platforms. Still, red thick runner of carpet is spread out for everyone to celebrate the night of the most prestigious awarding ceremony in music.

There are early winners announced prior to the main ceremony, and the most important categories are awarded in the main program. Live performances was shown of artists in different venues. Those were either pre-recorded, or the performer is somewhere else away from the main stage.

Artists are already awarded. There goes some first time winners, multiple winners, and record breaker of most wins. When she was called, it's as if she's unaware of the new record being set. There are new artists, and veterans. Some may be unknown to many, while others are very popular.

Political issues being brought, many viewers rolled their eyes. It's just another award show, which at times, meant to mold our minds. Less glam at the time of pandemic. It's still a show, and numerous viewers are happy, but it won't please everyone whoever watches on their screens.
