The Diary Game I May 23, 2022 I "Conducting Tutorial for Struggling Readers"

A blissful day my dear steemian friends! So glad for this continuing betterlife contest everyone could share its different happenings in our life.

At school, after we teachers served the election, we have already limited face to face classes and as well as short lectures in the afternoon as part of our professional growth. In our English department, our Reading Coordinator found out that there are Grade 7 students, starting students in high school who have difficulty in reading and comprehension. That is why as part of one of the department heads I initiated a "reading tutorial" to struggling readers. I also coordinated to our reading coordinator so I can set one hour a day and assigned my fellow English teachers to help these chosen students.

On my part, I choose to conduct reading tutorial every Monday and Wednesday at 9:30 to 10:30 in the morning since my classes end at 9:30 a.m.
This reading program to students who have difficulty started last week until this school year ends. We really wanted to see our learners' progress before they go to a higher grade, because for us teachers it is such a big achievement if we see how our learners learn and most of all adapt skills which are useful in dealing real life situations.

I am also grateful to my fellow teachers who extend their time and service just to help these students. Although it's their free time from work, they really show willingness and truly aim enhancement of our students' academics.

We can show our desire to help others in different ways. In spite of our busy tasks, at least we still find time not anywhere else but wherever our need is available for others. I am so grateful that we have this kind of program and supportive teachers.
