Aceh Police Chief Conducts Working Visit to Bireuen.
The Aceh Regional Police Chief (Kapolda) conducted a working visit (Kunker) to Bireuen Regency, Aceh Province, Inspector General Marzuki Ali Basyah. During the visit, the Chief was accompanied by the Chairperson of the Aceh Regional Bhayangkari (Women's Movement), Irawati, on Wednesday, November 18, 2025.
The Chief of Police's visit to Bireuen was welcomed by Regent H. Mukhlis, ST, along with the Chairperson of the Family Welfare Movement (TP-PKK), Sadriah, SKM., MKM, the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), and officials from the local Regency Government (Pemkab).
During the visit, the Aceh Police Chief was also accompanied by the Deputy Chief of Aceh Police, Brigadier General Ari Wahyu Widodo, senior officials of the Aceh Police, the Bireuen Police Chief, AKBP Tuschad Cipta Herdani, SIK., MMed.Kom, and his staff.
The welcoming ceremony for the Aceh Regional Police Chief and his entourage began with the Regent placing a sash and Acehnese cap on the head of the Aceh Regional Bhayangkari (Indonesian Youth and Family Welfare Movement) and a souvenir from the Head of the Family Welfare Movement (TP-PKK). The event was followed by a handshake with the Regional Leadership Communication Forum (Forkopimda), officials from the Bireuen Regency Government, including the Acting Regional Secretary, Assistants, expert staff, heads of departments, agencies, and offices.
The Aceh Regional Police Chief, his wife, and entourage then entered the Regent's Hall and proceeded to the traditional hall to participate in the peusijuk (pour of flour) ceremony, led by Tgk Muhammad Hafiq, the Imam of the Peusangan Grand Mosque.
Following a luncheon and a brief gathering, the Aceh Regional Police Chief, the Regent, and relevant officials went to the prayer room in the Hall to perform the afternoon prayer. Afterward, Deputy Governor Fadhlullah accompanied them in handing over aid for disaster victims from the Aceh Government to the Bireuen Regency Government.
Aceh Police Chief, Inspector General Marzuki Ali Basyah, stated that his visit with his entourage to Bireuen Regency was for a working visit and to foster camaraderie with the local government and community.
"Today, I'm on a working visit to Bireuen to foster camaraderie with the local government and community in order to anticipate security disturbances, both related to drug issues and other security threats," he told reporters at the location.
On that occasion, the Aceh Police Chief also expressed his hope that the community, the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), the Indonesian National Police (Polri), and the local government would work together to develop Bireuen Regency.
"Bireuen Regency has the second largest population in Aceh Province. Therefore, if a security disturbance occurs in Bireuen, it could have an impact on other areas. Therefore, we must maintain the security of Bireuen and North Aceh as best as possible," said Aceh Police Chief, Inspector General Marzuki Ali Basyah.
