The Aceh Tamiang Government officially inaugurated 2,393 part-time Government Employees with Work Agreements (PPPK) on Tuesday (March 17, 2026). The inauguration was led by the Regent of Aceh Tamiang, Inspector General of Police (Ret.) Drs. Armia Pahmi, MH, in front of the Regent's Office.

In his remarks, Regent Armia stated that the inauguration was a recognition of the dedication, hard work, and patience of the Part-Time PPPK in their journey of service to the region and the community.

Regent Armia stated that their current ASN status should serve as additional motivation to work more professionally, with discipline, and with a results-oriented approach.

"Demonstrate your best capacity in your respective work units and uphold the ethics of civil servants. Your status has now changed, so must your work patterns. This represents increased responsibility. Prioritize a performance mindset with clear targets and measurable output, disciplined working hours, and maintaining official ethics," said the Regent.

He emphasized that the status is "part-time, not part-time."

The Regent reiterated the important role of civil servants in the community after a hydrometeorological disaster. Local governments must remain present among the community, ensuring the continuity of public services, and working together to help the community recover from the various difficulties they face.

"When the community needs health services, education, government administration, or social support after a disaster, government officials must remain present among the community," he explained.

Furthermore, the proliferation of hoax news amidst technological developments often leads to misunderstandings, unrest, and even undermines public trust in institutions and fellow citizens. "Sometimes what spreads the fastest is not the truth, but prejudice."

Civil servants must not be part of the chain of dissemination of unverified information. Instead, civil servants must be present as guardians of common sense amidst the current flood of information.

Instead, they have a moral responsibility to calm the situation, provide accurate explanations, and correct misinformation. After all, public trust in the government is largely determined by the attitudes and behavior of government officials themselves.

In carrying out their duties, the Regent advised the Part-Time Civil Servants (P3K) to uphold the core values of ASN Berahlak (Academic Civil Servants) as the basis of their daily work and to uphold the five pledges of the Korpri (Indonesian Civil Servants Association).

The inauguration was also attended by the Acting Regional Secretary of Aceh Tamiang, the Assistants, the Heads of Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD), and the families of the inaugurated employees.
