A House in Cot Rabo Tunong, Bireuen, Burns Down.

A fire broke out in Cot Rabo Tunong Village, Peusangan District, Bireuen Regency, Aceh Province, on Wednesday (March 25, 2025) at around 10:00 PM WIB.

A permanent house inherited from their parents, occupied by two orphans, Bilalbirrabbah (15) and Mulkan Abbas (10), was completely destroyed, leaving only a concrete structure. The house had previously been the primary residence for the two orphans.

The entire contents of the house, from clothes and motorcycles to two bicycles, one of which Mulkan often used to go to school, were destroyed.

The fire not only destroyed their house but also spread to the adjacent house of their grandmother, M Nasir (61).

Fortunately, the two children were at their grandmother's house next door at the time of the incident, so there were no casualties. However, all their belongings were destroyed.

When the fire broke out, residents immediately rushed to help extinguish the flames with whatever equipment they had and contacted the Bireuen Regency Fire Department.

Residents also immediately evacuated the two orphans to a neighbor's house for safety. Community support was evident, with many residents trying to save their belongings and prevent the fire from spreading to other homes.

The Bireuen Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) deployed three fire trucks from the main post, plus one from the Juli post and one from the Kutablang post to extinguish the fire.

Upon arrival at the scene, officers and residents immediately extinguished the fire and cooled down the area around the victim's grandmother's house, located to the west of the house, to prevent it from burning.

The permanent house where the two orphans lived was completely destroyed, leaving only the concrete structure. The cause of the disaster is still unknown, and there were no fatalities.
